질문 유형별 가이드 (예전 전화영어 교재 + 해커스 오픽)

 이전에 막 적어놨던 것들을 정리한거라 전화영어에서 나온 건지, 해커스 오픽 강의에서 들은건지 출처가 명확하지 않습니다 ㅠㅠㅠ 그래도 조금 일반적인 내용이니 그냥 편하게 정리해봤습니다.

** 10번 규칙과 방법 설명하는 것은 최대한 피하는 게 좋습니다... 농구랑 축구 등 스포츠를 잘 안다고는 해도 실제 그 규칙을 갑자기 설명하라고 하면.... 꽤 멘붕이 오더라구요.... 게다가 혹시라도 헬스에 대해서 설명해야 한다면 3분할, 2분할과 각 근육들의 시너지에 대해서 영어로 설명하려면 단어부터 막힐 것 같네요.... 한번 겪어보고 이건 바로 제끼게 됐습니다..

해커스 예제

 - I attend XX university, which is located in Seoul. Even though Seoul is the biggest city in my country, the campus itself is free of all the hustle and bustle of a big city (has a calm and peaceful atmosphere / is far away from the city’s hectic life). It’s a very quiet place.

- The university has been around for over a hundred years (was established about a hundred years ago / was founded in the early 1900s), and what sets it apart from others is that there are so many beautiful buildings. The best one (its key feature/ The school’s landmark) is the campus library. It was built in the early 1900s. and it’s a four-story building made of red brick.

- Not every building on campus is old, though. My dorm was built only two years ago. It’s mostly made of steel and glass, and all of the rooms have huge windows. I love the way sunlight always beams in.

- In my opinion, the mix of old and new buildings strikes a good balance. Walking around campus is always a pleasure, especially in the winter. The snow covers all of the buildings and makes them look even more picture-perfect(eye-catching).

 

내 답변

The university I graduated from is XX university that is located on the northwest side of Seoul. Because of that, my campus is free of hustle and bustle unlike most of the other universities located on is urban side. Recently, huge construction was held to make the ground free from transportation. only the underground is possible to move in and out. thanks to that, the air is getting clean, the safety of students is more guaranteed. one thing that makes me sad is... the construction remove my memorial places such as the stairs that I met my girlfriend at first, and the roads I took pictures at my entrance ceremony.. etc.. anyway, If you interest in my university or want to visit very beautiful places in Seoul, I would recommend my campus.

 - I would say professor XX is my favorite professor of all time (My number one professor is Prof XX / of all faculties of my schools, I like professor XX the best). He teaches an introduction to philosophy course. Professor XX is middle-aged and slightly bald. As for (regarding) his personality, he seems very strict at first, but in fact, he has a kind heart and students warm up to him quickly.

 - Also, his lectures don’t make me doze off like some of my other professors’ lectures do (are very interesting that time just flies away / make me stay focused). We have many group discussions, and he always asks us to think critically about what we’ve read. I’m really thankful that I was in his class. What I like most about professor XX is his teaching style.

 - Because of it, I’ve learned to develop my own opinion. Before taking his class, I did not have strong ideas about what I learned. I just memorized information for my tests (I used to let the lecture go in one ear and out the other). Now, however, I carefully consider everything I read and hear and use my own judgment to determine its value.

 The most impressive professor I have met is Prof. Y. He was my advisor during my master courses and now he is one of my friends. Actually, it can be the answer to the question of why he is a really good professor. I saw him at first the class, XXX which comprehends the overall of the object in our universe, from the Bing Bang to the solar system we live in. Even though the class was for only 2nd grade of my major, the depth of the class was really really deep and difficult for everyone. His passion, however, fascinated all of the students in that class. Fortunately, that time was the first year that I finished military service, so that leads to synergy to get more information and passion for astronomy. The weekly assignments were of high standard similar to those of my research project after 4 years and the subject of each assignment was the right man in the right place to learn that subject. I hope to get the chance to explain it to you Eva. To make it long short, Prof Y's class made me draw research's way through his high-quality class and I met him at the graduate course as an advisor. That's why Prof Y is my favorite man in my undergraduate courses.

 수강중인 강의 소개 / 강의 하나하나 설명 / 가장 좋아하는 강의 / 강의에 대한 내 생각

 - I’m taking five classes this semester. And I’d like to describe the two that I find most interesting (I’d like to talk about my favorite~). The names of these two courses are English Composition and Introduction to English Literature. These classes are both required (mandatory/compulsory) for my major, which is English.

 - I’m going to start with English Composition. This is a course that focuses on writing skills. The instructor helps each student develop a good writing style, and there are a number of different writing assignments(I have to turn in my assignments) each week, most of these are personal essays about our own experiences.

 - The second course is Introduction to English Literature, which is basically a primer (an introductory) course about important novels, plays, and poems in the English language. As you’d expect (As its title implies), there’s quite a bit of reading to be done in this class.

 - I like Introduction to English Literature the most because I find the professor’s lecture to be fascinating(absorbing/interesting). She gives us a lot of interesting background information about the works and authors we study, and she has a very engaging manner of speaking.
