Anyway, on the left, there is a kitchen area and a study room. On the right is a living room. Next to the living room, you can see the master bedroom and my bedroom.

 - The space I like the most in my home has got to be my bedroom and there are several reasons for my preference. To start with(at first 대신 이게 더 fancy), my bedroom is just for me and it’s the place where can spend time all by myself without any distractions. What’s more (Second 대신), my room has a fantastic view of the river that runs through the city.  Last year, I moved to Daejeon and started living with my parent. Our home is a 3-bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor of a 20 story apartment building. The reason why my parent selected the 3rd floor is based on convenience that makes it possible to walk and the safety. When you enter my home, you can see the first room, my mother's hobby room. There are several things related to music. piano, guitar, ukulele, etc... since my mother is belonged to a guitar club having a monthly concert. My mother usually spends time in this room playing some instrument. In the living room, huge ultra-HD TV is hung which is presented by me as a kind of fee. Because of this, my father usually spends his time in this living room. because my father really likes watching movies. haha. Among remained two-room, one is the bedroom for my parents and the other is my bedroom. That's all. I want to tell you about the detailed thing about my room, I'll do it if you are interested.

Q2) Please tell me about your house. What’s your favorite room? What does it look like? Why do you like that room?

 - I live on the seventh floor of an apartment complex(a high-rise apartment: 고층의). My apartment is quite cozy(modern/ snug: 포근한), and I live in it very much. I’ve got a kitchen, a living room, and a bedroom(a study room/ a master bedroom). Of those, the room I like the most is my bedroom, which is located in the rear (front/ center) of the apartment.

- My bedroom is not a very large room, but it’s my safe haven(안식처). It’s got a thick, beige rug on the floor and a comfortable bed(a brand new computer/ a dressing table). However, what sets this room apart from the others is that the window looks out over the forest behind my apartment building. Whenever I open it, I can get some fresh air, which helps clear my thoughts.

- What I like the most about this room is the view. As I mentioned before, my rooms has a fantastic view of the river that runs through the city. So, whenever I need time to collect my thought, I look out the window and enjoy the view.

- Among all the rooms in my house, my bedroom is definitely my favorite place to hang out(쉴 수 있는) without a doubt. The only complaint I have is that the room need to some new furniture (the excessive noise coming from the room upstairs). I may put in a new bookshelf and a comfortable chair to read in.

Needless to say. That is my room. I can do everything I interest such as playing guitar, weight training, and coding with my desktop. Most of my hobbies and life are done in my room. You know, last year I had readied for the body profile for more than half of the year, and finally did it. During those days, a kind of pull up-machine called chinning-dipping was really helpful to me to gain my muscles. This machine is laid on the front of the door. well, a story about the guitar is already said, right? Recently, I bought a chair that is the same goods as that of my university and also purchased a huge monitor and a stand suitable for it. All of this makes me concentrate on programming to ready for a new job. So Eva, if your hobbies are similar to mine, I bet you also like my room. Please do not hesitate, anytime you can contact me.!!

Q3) Compare the home you lived in before to the one you live in now. What are the differences between those two homes? Describe them in as much detail as possible

 - Up until three years ago (when I was young/ when I was a child), I lived in a spacious apartment (a detached house : 주택) in a suburb of Seoul with my parents. It was the place where I grew up (I was born and raised in), and it was very different from where I live now.

 - Back then I lived in a large, four-bedroom apartment(a detached house) in a quiet neighborhood. Every room had wood floors and large windows that let in lots of sunlight. The interior of the house created a stately atmosphere. Oh, and there was a park nearby, and we’d go jogging on the weekends.

 - In contrast, my current home is a small studio. Since the place is very small, it has a cozy atmosphere. It doesn’t have many windows, so I always have the lights turned on. There is no balcony, so I have to leave the building to get fresh air if it gets stuffy(답답).

 - On the plus side, my studio is conveniently located near many good restaurants and cafes. There are many amenities(편의시설) within walking distance. Also living in the city makes it easier to have a social life (hang out with friends).

내 답변

Actually, that question is really ridiculous to me. The previous room I lived in was a really old building with red bricks. In Seoul, the red brick is a representative symbol of an old building which implies the time more than 30 years flies after it was built. Even, the room was the basement, so I always could see the foot of passengers.. sometimes that made me miserable.. but the house now I'm living in is an apartment very close to the subway station. Only a shortcoming is the location... it is not in Seoul..  Except that, everything gonna superior. When I lived in the previous room, it always humid and wet all summer, because it was impossible to ventilate 'basement'..!! but now I can have fresh air anytime I want. Ah, but there is one more shortcoming on this house. sometimes the fact that somebody lives under and on my room makes me hard.

Q4) Now, I’d like to talk about where you live. What does it look like? How many rooms does it have? Can you describe your house to me?

내답변(옛날에 준비, Q1과 중복되니 따로 추가 x)

I live in a small sized place with two-bedroom, though it is basement of its build, it is not that humid and wet unlike other basement houses. There are several book shelves in my room which I picked from dumps. And there are also many furniture brought from dumping ground. Only a thing I bought by myself is the bed with storage. Because I always wanted to have space to stuff my underwear and socks to make my room seem to fancy, after searching and comparing plenty of beds, I choose it and I’m sure optimal bed to my plan. Anyway this bed is only keypoint and the others are similar with any other rented rooms of typical undergraduate students.

동네 및 이웃

Q1)  I would like to know about your neighborhood. What does your neighborhood look like? Please describe your neighborhood in as much detail as possible.

대상 설명하기  장소 : 현재시제

해커스예제

- My apartment is (located in/ which is to the north of Busan) (the downtown/ the suburbs /the outskirts/ the residential district) area of Seoul, one of the largest and busiest cities in Korea. Its atmosphere is (active and lively/ quiet and calm) all day and night. I was born and raised in this city so I have a great affection for it. I believe that there are so many good things about my neighborhood and I would like to talk about some of them today.

- To start with, I have easy access to restaurants, cafes, convenience stores, and so on. I know every inch of (모든 것을 다 안다.) the city. Thus, I never worry about where to hang out with my friends in my neighborhood.

- What’s more, it has a good transportation system. it’s only a 5-minute walk to a bus stop or a subway station.

- To start with, I have easy access to a local park. There is a famous park called ABC park near my house. It provides fresh air along with fantastic scenery. Thus never worry about where to hang out with my friends in my neighborhood.

- What’s more, it has a good transportation system. Since I live in the suburbs of Seoul, many people think that the commute will be a hassle for me but that’s not true. In fact, it’s only a 10-minute walk to a bus stop or a subway station.

- Another good thing about living here is food delivery. There is a variety of restaurants within walking distance and I can get different kinds of food delivered 24/7 (24시간 7일내내). The food delivery always lives us to my expectations. All I need to do is just make a phone call to a restaurant and wait for a few minutes.

- All in all (대체로), it’s a fact that my neighborhood is (bustling 247 /can be boring at times) but I still believe that it is a great place to live.

As I mentioned in your previous question, I moved to Daejeon to get a job after my graduate course. You know, 10 years have gone since I leave Daejeon. So now I'm still adapting to this familiar but also awkward environment. Unlike the past, this is a really good to live. To start with, the subway station is really close to my home, only a 3-minute distance! and next to this, a spacious park is located that has many pokestop. Eva do you play 'poketmon go'? this park is optimized to play this game. If you want to catch a very rare 'poketmon', I will introduce this place. what's more, one of the hugest market 'E-mart traders' is here. you know this is similar to Costco. the combination of these three advantages make my life more glowing.

Q2) Can you tell me about your neighborhoods? Describe one of your neighbors in detail. How did you first become acquainted with that neighbor? Are you close to the person? What do you usually do together?

- I live in (a boarding house/ an apartment complex/ a residential area), so there are lots of students who live in my building. I’ve gotten to know quite a few of them, but my favorite neighbor is 민수, who lives directly across the hall from me(right above me/ right below me). 민수 and I are both 23 years old (about the same age).

- He’s pretty tall. I’d say he’s about 180 centimeters, and he has brown eyes, brown hair, and a dazzling smile. He opens up to people easily and is very outgoing.

- I first met him at dinner when I moved into the boarding house a few months back. He saw that new and immediately struck up a conversation with me. We’ve been really close ever since.

- I got to know him as we ran into each other in the hallway several times. So, he struck up a conversation with me. We instantly bonded and since then, we have hung out a lot.

- We like to play sports together. Usually, this means kicking a soccer ball around or shooting hoops. I find his easy-going manner (funny/ bright/humorous character) quite charming. I think I’m lucky to have such a good neighbor (neighbor-slash-friend).

Q) Please tell me about a memorable experience you have had in your neighborhood. When and where did it occur? What happened that made the experience so memorable? Please describe it in detail.

- I had a once-in-a-lifetime experience when I was in my neighborhood. One day I was wandering around my neighborhood for a walk. I was on the pathway that was off the beaten track and I saw a beautiful woman walking her dog. I fell in love at first sight. I wanted to go and talk to her. When I approached her, I realized she was someone I knew. She was my first love. Ten years ago, she dumped me. When I looked at her face. I felt butterflies in my stomach(초조하다) and got goosebumps from head to toe(소름돋았다). I didn’t want to see her because it would only remind me of old memories, so I walked the other way. I thought to myself that she was still beautiful.

- I had a memorable experience in my neighborhood. As I recall my memory, it was last summer. While I was jogging, I saw someone familiar walking by me. His fashion style caught my eye, so I stared at him. In a matter of seconds, I thought of my old friend from high school. So I took a close look at his face and I couldn’t believe my eyes. It was john! We went to the same high school. Back then, he and I had a lot in common in terms of personality and interests. So, talking with him made me lose sense of time. Anyway, I could not recognize him at first glance because he had changed so much from the past. I still cannot believe that randomly met my old friend in my neighborhood. Since then we have kept in touch via SNS.

해커스 예제3

-  I had a once-in-a-lifetime experience in my neighborhood. Last winter, I was on my vacation and I was bored out of my mind. So I was just wandering around my neighborhood for al walk when I found an identification card on a bench, When I looked at the photo of the owner, I could not believe my eyes and I got goosebumps from head to toe! It was a girl who took a match class with me when I was a freshman in college. I looked around every corner of the place to find her. After a few minutes, one beautiful lady caught my eye. It was her. While I approached her, my heart nearly jumped out of my chest. I gave her ID card back, and she appreciated it so much. In return, she offered me a cup of coffee at a nearby café and our conversation went on and on. Since then, we have gotten close and have taken a further step in out relationship. We’re now dating, this is the reason why I think it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

해커스 예제4

- I had an unforgettable experience in my neighborhood a few week ago the weather was beautiful outside. So I went jogging a Han river park. When I stopped to catch my breath, I heard someone crying loudly. I was about to ignore it at first, but the sound bothered me a lot, so I followed the sound and found a little boy leaning against a wall and crying for his mother. I felt really sorry for the poor little boy and asked for his mother’s number and address. Unfortunately, the boy couldn’t answer any of my questions. It really got on my nerves, I had no other choice but to take him to the nearest police station. I explained when and where I found the boy. After an hour the boy’s mother rushed into the police station and she burst into tears when she saw her son. She kept saying “thank you” over and over again. It still warms my hear to think of that day.

해커스 예제5

- The most memorable experience I have ever had was when I was at Han river park. As I told you before, it’s my number one place to go to exercise. Jogging at the crack of dawn is my daily routine. One day, I was enjoying a quiet moment n a bench all by myself without any distractions.  All of a sudden, my phone rang. It was my mom. I thought it was really strange because it was early in the morning. I answered the phone. And my mom said that she had sprained her ankle and needed to see a doctor. Of course, I rushed back to my house and took her to the hospital. At that time my mind went blank and I couldn’t think straight. But when everything was said and done, I found out that I was missing something. I had left my wallet on the bench in the park! To make matters worse, I couldn’t remember which bench it was. Anyway, when I went back to the park and found the bench, my wallet was already gone. From this experience, I learned an important lesson: always keep a close eye on your wallet.
